Spraying Nana

Yes, I'm playing catch-up on my blogs.  I'm pretty sure this is how it will be for awhile.  Oh well.

Aunt Lala's birthday was this weekend, so we went to Russellville for a visit.  The girls had a blast spraying down Nana and swimming again in Lala's pool.  Here's some pics of them all.

Swimming

Our neighbors have invited us to go swimming with them two different times since we moved here.  That alone is such a blessing for the girls.  Anyway, the last time we went, right before we left, Anna asked to practice swimming without floaties.  Before I knew it she was doggy-paddling from one side of the pool to the other without any help.

The next time we went swimming, she started swimming under water, diving down and touching the ground then shooting back up, and attempting underwater somersaults like her big sister.  I was amazed!

Animal Safari

My mom and I took the girls to the Animal Safari up in Gentry last week.  Boy, was it ever hot!  And the flies were horrible.  I think by the time we loaded up in the van afterwards, there must have been around a hundred flies in there.  But despite the heat and pesky flies, we had a wonderful time.  It's a great place to get to pet all the animals and see them up close and personal.  We took my neice, Myrah too, which was a great time for us all.  She loved the all the animals and getting to feed them.

There was a spider monkey that was in a cage playing.  So, we all got up close and wheeled Myrah right next to him.  Well, he just jumped right toward her stuck his long arms through the cage and grabbed her glasses off her head (which were around her head with a band).  He just pulled and pulled until the whole thing snapped off.  She just laughed and laughed.  The worker came and got Myrah's glasses and then put the monkey on a leash for the girls to "train."  Well, that monkey went right up to Anna and grabbed the back of her legs.  She panicked and started crying; it scared her to death.  But Myrah thought that was the funniest thing ever and just had herself a good belly laugh.  It was just a good time and hopefully, all the girls made memories.  I know mom and I did!  Here are some pics.

Manicures and Pedicures

Good news!  I found a spot (thanks to my neighbor) that does manicures and pedicures for only $36!   I did it twice in Harrison before I left and quickly grew to love getting the special treatment.  Anyway, they did hot wax and everything.  I was impressed.  Now....if only I can find a gas station that's near my home with cheap gas and a discounted car wash when you fill up.  :)

One thing I knew I was going to miss like crazy in Harrison was my Bunko group.  You'll never believe it, but I get to go tonight to a group up the street--only as a substitute, but I'm still impressed.  And I'm holding out hope that if it's a good group, I might become a permanent player.

New Friends

Here are some pictures of our girls with some of their new friends from our neighborhood.  As soon as we got here, we were welcomed by all the surrounding neighbors.  It's truly been amazing.  The first night, Megan already said she didn't want to leave.  They've adjusted really well.  Thank the Lord for answering our prayers.  Now help us pray we'll find the right church.

By-the-Way

I took the picture of Anna in her swimsuit to get that sweet little ringlet that was hanging on her neck.  But I couldn't resist posting the picture of her back because she's just to cute to resist.

And, there will be lots of pics on my blog because that's really why I'm doing this.

4th of July

We got to go to the Stuart's house for the 4th this year in Conway, which is our third time.  We always have so much fun eating, playing, and watching fireworks.  Then we headed on to Russellville for time with Jason's family.  Laura and Roy had a pool put in, so we had a blast swimming and eating pizza.  We also celebrated with our brand new neighbors at a block party with lots of food and fireworks.  Needless to say, our weekend was jam-packed full of fun!  Enjoy the pics.

First Time to Blog

We just moved to Bryant, and our good friends in Harrison gave us a Going Away party at the church the Sunday night before we left.  I wanted to thank them and post some pictures from that.  What a blessing that was.  It sure made us all feel loved and special.  The girls had a wonderful time playing with all their buddies.  Jason and Anna are roasting marshmallows, and the rest of the pictures speak for themselves.
